STM8 MCU board

STMicroelectronics offers a broad portfolio of microcontrollers ranging from stable low-cost 8-bit MCUs to 32-bit Arm® Cortex®-M Flash core-based microcontrollers with a wide range of peripheral options. This ensures that the multifaceted requirements of design engineers for the performance, power and safety required for their applications are met.

The STM32 microcontroller (MCU) portfolio also offers wireless connectivity solutions, including our ultra-low-power system-on-chip: single/dual-core STM32WL, STM32WB.

The STM32WL wireless SoC is an open multi-protocol wireless MCU platform capable of running the LoRaWAN® protocol via LoRa® modulation, as well as other specialized protocols based on LoRa®, (G)FSK, (G)MSK or BPSK modulation.

The STM32WBA and STM32WB ultra-low-power platforms support Bluetooth® Low Energy 5.3. The STM32WB series also supports independent or concurrent proprietary protocols required by OpenThread, Zigbee 3.0 and Matter technologies.

With the addition of the STM32 microprocessor (MPU) and its heterogeneous architecture combined with Arm® Cortex®-A and Cortex®-M cores, embedded system engineers will have the opportunity to try out new designs and access open source Linux and Android platform. This flexible architecture allows assignment of advanced digital and analog peripherals to either core while enabling better power efficiency based on data processing and real-time execution requirements. To help engineers reduce application development time, mainstream open-source Linux distributions and next-generation system toolsets are now available from ST and third parties to support STM32 MCUs and MPUs.
